A face only a mother could love!!!
This is what I woke up to this morning. Evan did the SAME thing last night while I was on the phone with my sister. Five minutes later and he had constructed this little obstacle course to get to the higher shelves above where I stashed all the DVDs because he has become obsessed with them. I'm not so sure he even wants to watch a movie, but rather fly the equipment. He has self-taught himself that when you power up the DVD player it turns the TV on. He also knows which remote to use and to press the middle button to play the movie. He could do this for hours. He only wants to watch five or ten minutes of the movie and then switch to another DVD. Of course I told him to NEVER do this again as he could fall and get really, really hurt. Um, yeah. He could care less.
While I was blogging this afternoon I might have heard "Eat Papa, eat (nobody likes a skinny Santa)" ten times. (From Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer) Now I keep saying it to the kids and they laugh and laugh as if I'm the funniest mom in the world. I really am. And to think that I am not medicated.
I just told the hubs the whole story and although he sees the danger in the situation, he might be pretty excited that a three year old problem solved to this degree. Holy shit! Call in the specialists! We are now convinced he's a bloody genius. (that's more fun if you say it with a British accent)
Thank the Sweet Lord above that child is sleeping right now. It's been one helluva day with him.
